“I was referred to Jason Busat by my friend, Tyler McMahon vis-à-vis Chipper Dipple (another legend from Texas). If you know Tyler he is a quintessential mountain man. I am not one for trophy accumulation, but rather experiences. I want my hunts to be earned expeditions. Tyler connected me with a true expedition sheep guide. I have heard other guides and outfitters refer to Jason as one of the greatest sheep hunters today with well over 100 sheep, on extreme hunts, under strict weight and size constraints. I have hunted Rocky Mountain Bighorn in the Willmore, Stone Sheep in British Columbia with Jason. I am booked for Dall Sheep in July 2026 and Desert Sheep in 2027 to complete the slam with him. I would trust no one else on this journey. My Willmore hunt with Jason was nearly two weeks of epic adventure on horseback, deep into the far western interior. I shot a magnificent ram and we ran the entire course of the hunt not missing a single opportunity to maximize the experience. At the end of the hunt Tyler told me that I will probably never see another hunt like this one in my lifetime. So far he has been right.
